Ingredients
Instructions
1. Slice the sausages thinly to a thickness of 0.4 cm, and cut the luncheon meat into your preferred shape. Slicing the meat thinly helps release a rich flavor into the broth and makes the portion look more generous.
2. Julienne the onion and cut the green onions into long strips.
3. Place the green onions on the bottom of the pot, and neatly arrange the sliced luncheon meat, sausages, onions, and well-fermented kimchi on top.
4. Add 1 tablespoon of baked beans. If you don't have baked beans, you can substitute them with half a tablespoon of ketchup.
5. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 2 tablespoons of soup soy sauce, about 2/3 tablespoon of traditional fermented soybean paste, 2.5 tablespoons of coarse red pepper flakes, about 1/2 tablespoon of chili paste, and a pinch of ground black pepper.
6. Place 1 slice of cheddar cheese on top.
7. Pour in 1 bottle (500ml) of water and bring to a boil. Since it might taste too salty at first, taste it after simmering and add more water if needed.
8. Check the flavor of the broth. If it is bland, add salt or soup soy sauce; if it is too salty, add more water. You can also add more red pepper flakes depending on the color.
9. If adding ramen noodles, turn up the heat and cook the noodles until done. It is recommended to reserve the ramen seasoning packet for emergency use.
10. Enjoy the ramen, luncheon meat, and sausages together.
