Ingredients
2cups soybeans, 1.5cups cold water, 1teaspoon toasted sesame seeds, 0.25teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Measure two cups of dried soybeans and remove any broken or discolored beans.
2. Wash the soybeans thoroughly, pouring out dirty water.
3. Soak the washed soybeans in plenty of water for 10 to 12 hours, preferably overnight.
4. Strain the soaked soybeans.
5. Place the strained soybeans into a pot and add enough water to cover them.
6. Boil the soybeans over medium-high heat for 15 minutes without a lid, stirring occasionally to manage bubbles and prevent sticking.
7. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
8. Turn off the heat and taste one bean to ensure it's cooked perfectly (nutty, not too soft).
9. Strain the cooked soybeans and allow them to cool down.
10. Once cooled, place the beans into a Ziploc bag and freeze them for later use.
11. Combine 0.5 cups of frozen soybeans, 1.5 cups of cold water, 1 teaspoon of toasted sesame seeds, and 0.25 teaspoon of salt in a blender.
12. Blend until smooth.
13. Pour into a glass and enjoy your homemade soy milk.
