Garlic Shrimp
Ingredients: shrimp, fresh Italian parsley, garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon juice · 15 min cook time · 350kcal · ~₩11,900
Ingredients
1pound shrimp, 0.5bunch fresh Italian parsley, 6cloves garlic, 0.5tsp red pepper flakes, 1tbsp lemon juice, 1tbsp caper brine, 4pieces cold butter, 2tbsp olive oil, 0.5tsp salt
Instructions
1. Peel and devein the shrimp. Chop fresh Italian parsley. Mince or slice garlic (at least 6 cloves). Prepare red pepper flakes and lemon juice. Add about a tablespoon of caper brine to the lemon juice. Cut cold butter into four pieces.
2. Place your heaviest skillet on the highest heat. Add olive oil and heat until you see the first wisps of smoke.
3. Add the shrimp to the hot pan, spreading them out evenly. Let them sizzle untouched for about a minute. Sprinkle with salt.
4. Toss the shrimp and stir-fry for another minute until they have some color on the outside but are still translucent inside.
5. Add the garlic and chili flakes. Stir constantly and cook for about a minute, ensuring the garlic does not brown.
6. Quickly dump in the lemon juice and caper brine mixture, one of the four chunks of butter, and half of the chopped parsley. Stir everything together.
7. As soon as the first piece of butter melts, turn the heat down to low. Toss in the rest of the butter and continue stirring until it's melted.
8. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. If the sauce is too thick, add a little splash of water and briefly heat if necessary to reach desired consistency. Serve immediately, spooning the sauce over the shrimp and topping with the remaining fresh parsley.
