Peach Cobbler
Ingredients: butter, peaches, brown sugar, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour · 60 min cook time · 350kcal · ~₩18,000
Ingredients
7tablespoons butter, 6count peaches, 0.25cup brown sugar, 0.25cup granulated sugar, 1cup all-purpose flour, 0.25teaspoon salt, 2teaspoons baking powder, 0.5teaspoon cinnamon, 0.75cup whole milk, 1scoop vanilla ice cream
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Add 7 tablespoons of butter to a 9x13 inch baking dish and place it in the preheated oven to melt. You can brown the butter slightly for extra flavor if desired.
3. Peel 6 peaches. You can leave the peel on if preferred, but it might get stuck in teeth. Use perfectly ripe peaches.
4. Remove the pits from the peeled peaches and slice them into quarter to half-inch slices.
5. Add the prepped peaches to a large pan. Add a quarter cup of brown sugar and a quarter cup of granulated sugar.
6. Place the pan on medium heat and cook the peaches for about 2 minutes, or until the sugars are dissolved. Squish any clumps of brown sugar to help them dissolve faster.
7. Remove the peaches from heat and set aside on a trivet.
8. In a large bowl, add 1 cup (120 grams) of all-purpose flour, a quarter teaspoon of salt, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and half a teaspoon of cinnamon. Whisk to combine.
9. Add three-quarters of a cup (about 200 ml) of whole milk to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
10. Carefully remove the baking dish with melted butter from the oven. Transfer the cobbler topping mixture into the baking dish, spreading it out to create a layer over the butter without mixing them.
11. Spread the cooked peaches evenly over the cobbler topping. Ensure they are not in a lump so the topping can rise through them.
12. Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and springy to the touch.
13. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
