Ingredients
50g ginger, 85g green onion, 350ml water, 1.5작은술 cornstarch, 200g spaghetti, 30ml oil
Instructions
1. Cut the peeled ginger into very thin slices. Lay down the slices in an overlapping row to chop into strips. Place the ginger onto a plate.
2. Cut off the green parts of the green onions and place them to the side. Cut the rest into sections. Cut the green onions lengthwise into thin strips.
3. Turn the heat setting to low. Add the ginger to the wok.
4. When the ginger and white parts of the green onion smell fragrant, add the rest of the green onion to the wok and give everything a good stir.
5. Add 12 oz (approx. 350ml) of water. Lower the heat setting to medium. When all the flavors are in, turn the heat setting down to low and stir everything together.
6. Prepare a cornstarch slurry by mixing one teaspoon of cornstarch with one tablespoon of water. If a thicker sauce is desired, mix an additional half a teaspoon of cornstarch and half a tablespoon of water.
7. Turn the heat to high to help the sauce reduce and thicken. Stir the sauce continuously so that it doesn't burn. Add the slurry as needed to reach desired thickness.
8. Turn off the heat completely. Give the sauce a final stir. Then set it aside to check on the spaghetti.
9. Drain the water from the spaghetti.
