Ingredients: Guinness stout, Unsalted butter, Superfine sugar, Unsweetened cocoa powder, Sour cream · 75 min cook time · 450kcal · ~₩20,500
Ingredients
250ml Guinness stout, 250g Unsalted butter, 400g Superfine sugar, 75g Unsweetened cocoa powder, 140g Sour cream, 1tsp Vanilla extract, 2개 Eggs, 250g All-purpose flour, 2.5tsp Baking soda, 0.75tsp Salt, 300g Cream cheese, 150g Powdered sugar, 0.33cup Heavy cream, 2tbsp Baileys Irish Cream
Instructions
1. Butter a 9-inch springform pan and line it with parchment paper. To cut a perfect circle of parchment, fold a square sheet in half (hamburger style), then fold it like a paper airplane into a small fan. Place the point of the fan at the center of the pan and cut the parchment to the size of the pan. Unfold and place in the pan.
2. Over medium heat, combine the butter and Guinness stout in a saucepan until the butter is melted. Remove from heat.
3. Add the unsweetened cocoa powder and superfine sugar to the saucepan and whisk until combined.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth.
5. Add the sour cream mixture to the chocolate mixture in the saucepan and whisk until fully incorporated.
6. Add the baking soda, all-purpose flour, and salt to the saucepan. Whisk minimally until just combined.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared springform pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until a cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Let the cake cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
9. For the frosting, whisk the cream cheese until smooth. Sift in the powdered sugar and whisk until combined.
10. Add the heavy cream and Baileys Irish Cream to the frosting and whisk until light and fluffy.
11. Remove the cooled cake from the springform pan and transfer it to a serving plate. Spread the frosting evenly over the top of the cake.
12. Slice and serve with a fresh pint of Guinness stout.
