Dirty Spaghetti
Ingredients: Olive oil, Ground beef, Onions, Red bell pepper, Orange bell pepper · 40 min cook time · 700kcal · ~₩19,800
Ingredients
15ml Olive oil, 400g Ground beef, 1개 Onions, 0.5개 Red bell pepper, 0.5개 Orange bell pepper, 1줄기 Celery, 200g Sausage, 5g Onion powder, 5g Garlic powder, 10g Paprika, 3g Ground cumin, 2g Dried thyme, 2g Dried oregano, 2g Black pepper, 2g Cayenne pepper, 5g Kosher salt, 700ml Beef broth, 300g Spaghetti, 10ml Worcestershire sauce, 10g Green onions
Instructions
1. Drizzle olive oil into a skillet set over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook for a few minutes, crumbling it with a spatula, to give it a head start browning.
2. Add diced onions, red and orange bell peppers, and diced celery to the skillet. Also add cut-up sausage. Cook, stirring, for about a minute or so.
3. Toss in onion powder, garlic powder, paprika (regular or smoked), ground cumin, dried thyme, dried oregano, freshly ground black pepper, cayenne, and kosher salt. Stir all together and cook for another 2 minutes.
4. Transfer beef broth into the skillet and stir. Wait for it to come up to a simmer.
5. Break the raw spaghetti in half and add it to the simmering broth. Spread it out and distribute as evenly as possible. The spaghetti will soften quickly and become flexible.
6. Cover the skillet and let it cook over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Uncover and give everything a stir.
7. Repeat the process of covering, cooking for a couple of minutes, and stirring until the pasta is cooked to your liking. After the first toss or two, you can reduce the heat to somewhere between medium and medium-high, ensuring it's simmering enthusiastically.
8. Once the liquids have reduced and the pasta is cooked, taste a noodle to confirm. Adjust seasoning with more salt if needed.
9. Add a little bit of Worcestershire sauce to finish and mix it in.
10. Transfer the dirty spaghetti into a clean bowl. Garnish with a sprinkling of finely sliced green onions, if desired.
