Ingredients: soybeans, water, paper towel · 10080 min cook time · 50kcal · ~₩2,200
Ingredients
200g soybeans, 1L water, 2sheets paper towel
Instructions
1. Soak the soybeans overnight in clean water (12-16 hours) until they are rehydrated.
2. Place a paper towel at the bottom of a planter that drains, especially if the holes are big.
3. Dump in all the rehydrated beans into the planter.
4. Cover the beans with another damp paper towel to preserve moisture.
5. Block the sunlight by covering the planter with a lid, a ceramic plate, or a black cloth.
6. Keep this setup at a warm place, ideally between 70° to 80° F.
7. Place a plate at the bottom of the planter to collect water and prevent mess.
8. Wait 5 to 7 days, watering the beans twice a day (once in the morning, once at night).
9. On day four, the bean sprouts are good to eat, but you can give them an extra day for more growth.
10. If the sprouts are pushing against the lid, switch to a bigger bowl to allow them to continue to grow.
