0.33cup peanut oil, 300g ground pork, 60g shallot, 4pieces dried shiitake mushrooms, 1tablespoon granulated sugar, 50g slab sugar or dark brown sugar, 6tablespoons yellow bean sauce, 2tablespoons soy sauce, 2tablespoons sweet chili sauce, 0.25teaspoon dark soy sauce, 2teaspoons chicken bouillon powder, 1teaspoon five spice powder, 0.25teaspoon salt, 0.5cup shiitake mushroom soaking liquid
Instructions
1. Get your wok piping hot, shut off the heat, add in the peanut oil, and give it a swirl to get a nice non-stick surface.
2. Over a medium flame, toss in the ground pork. Slowly fry it and break it all up with a pair of chopsticks.
3. Once your pork has turned color, go in with minced shallot and diced reconstituted shiitakes. Slowly fry for fifteen to twenty minutes until the pork begins to brown.
4. Toss in granulated sugar and slab sugar or dark brown sugar. Once melted, add yellow bean sauce, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, dark soy sauce, chicken bouillon powder, five spice powder, and salt.
5. Give that a good mix, then go in with the shiitake mushroom soaking liquid. Cook for another five minutes to combine flavors.
