Roast Prime Rib with Garlic Herb Butter

7lb bone-in prime rib, 3tbsp salt, 3.25tbsp black pepper, 1stick butter, 2cloves garlic, 1tsp lemon zest, 1.5tbsp rosemary, 3tbsp parsley
Instructions
1. Season the bone-in prime rib generously with salt and black pepper on all sides.
2. Bake the prime rib at 225 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 3 and a half to 4 hours using a reverse sear method.
3. Make the garlic herb butter by mixing softened butter with minced garlic, lemon zest, pepper, salt, rosemary, and parsley.
4. Roll the garlic herb butter mixture into a log using plastic wrap and place it in the fridge to set.
5. Crank the oven up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for 5 to 10 minutes for the final sear.
6. Rest the roast before slicing, remove from the bones, and carve into thick slices against the grain.
7. Assemble the plate with mashed potatoes, green beans, sliced prime rib, and a slice of garlic herb butter on top.
