Everyday French Toast

3large large eggs, 2teaspoons packed brown sugar, 0.5teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1tablespoon vanilla extract, 0.25teaspoon salt, 2tablespoons unsalted butter, 1cup milk, 8slices hearty white bread
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, whisk together 3 large eggs, 2 teaspoons packed brown sugar, 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, and 0.25 teaspoon salt until smooth with no streaks of egg.
2. Whisk in 2 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter and 1 cup of milk until well combined.
3. Coat an 18 by 13-inch rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray and pour the custard mixture evenly onto the sheet.
4. Place 8 slices of hearty white bread in a single layer on the sheet in the custard, letting it soak for about a quarter of an inch on each side, then flip over to absorb on the other side.
5. Bake on the lowest rack of a preheated 425 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes until the bottom of the bread is golden brown.
6. Move the baking sheet up to the top rack, about 5 to 6 inches from the broiler, and turn on the broiler to high for 1 to 4 minutes until the tops are browned.
7. Remove from the oven, flip the French toast over on the sheet to soften the toasted tops with the steam, then serve with plenty of butter and syrup.
