Apple Fritters

3apples apples, 3tbsp lemon juice, 1quart vegetable oil, 1.5cups all-purpose flour, 0.5tsp cinnamon, 1tsp salt, 2.5tsp baking powder, 3tbsp sugar, 1pinch nutmeg, 0.67cup milk, 2eggs eggs, 2tsp vanilla, 2tbsp butter, 1cup powdered sugar
Instructions
1. Peel and chop the apples into bite-sized pieces.
2. Place chopped apples in a bowl and toss with lemon juice.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat until it reaches 360 degrees F.
4. Whisk together flour, cinnamon, salt, baking powder, sugar, and nutmeg in a bowl.
5. In another bowl, mix milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
6. Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients, fold to combine, then add apples and melted butter.
7. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
8. Transfer cooked fritters to paper towels to drain excess oil.
9. Make the glaze by whisking powdered sugar and lemon juice with a splash of water until smooth.
10. Drizzle the glaze over the apple fritters before serving.
