Szechuan Sauce

0.5cup water, 0.5cup white vinegar, 0.5cup white sugar, 0.5cup soy sauce, 1tablespoon apple cider vinegar, 0.5teaspoon sesame seed oil, 0.25teaspoon garlic powder, 0.25teaspoon onion powder, 0.25teaspoon ground ginger, 1teaspoon marmite, 1tablespoon corn syrup, 0.25teaspoon ground black pepper, 2tablespoon cornstarch, 1teaspoon xanthan gum
Instructions
1. Combine half a cup each of water, white vinegar, white sugar, and soy sauce in a bowl and whisk.
2. Add 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, 0.5 teaspoon sesame seed oil, 0.25 teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder, and ground ginger, 1 teaspoon marmite, corn syrup, and black pepper, then whisk.
3. Remove a quarter cup of the sauce and whisk in 2 tablespoons cornstarch and 1 teaspoon xanthan gum, then pour it back through a strainer into the main sauce.
4. Whisk briskly over medium heat until it forms a sauce-like goo, then strain, cover, and cool.
