Ingredients: ground beef, cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper · 20 min cook time · 650kcal · $7.50
Ingredients
12ounces ground beef, 2slices cheddar cheese, drops Worcestershire sauce, pinch garlic powder, pinch black pepper, pinch kosher salt, pinch cayenne, 1bun burger buns, amount secret sauce, portions lettuce and tomato
Instructions
1. Weigh out the ground beef into portions for your burger (e.g., two 3-ounce portions for a 6-ounce burger). Place plastic wrap underneath to make shaping easier.
2. Press the beef out into patties to about 1/4 inch thickness.
3. Season the meat by applying it to the surface without mashing it into the ground beef. Add a few drops of Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, kosher salt, and a pinch of cayenne.
4. Add cheese to the center of one patty. Cut the cheese into a round piece using a pastry cutter or water glass to ensure an even layer.
5. Flip the second patty over the first and carefully go around the edge pressing, machine-sealing, and smearing the two patties together. Flip and seal again from the other side to prevent molten cheese from leaking out.
6. Season the outside surface of the sealed patty with a little bit of salt.
7. Cook the burger in a preheated pan over medium-high heat for about four to five minutes per side.
8. Place the cooked burger on a dressed bun spread with secret sauce, add lettuce and tomato if desired, press together, and serve.
