Ingredients: all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, walnuts · 60 min cook time · 410kcal · $15.50
Ingredients
cup all-purpose flour, pinch salt, tsp baking powder, tsp baking soda, cup walnuts, cup brown sugar, cup white sugar, 1spoon cinnamon, cup butter, 2piece eggs, tsp vanilla, 1cup yogurt, 2piece Honeycrisp apples
Instructions
1. Quickly mix up dry ingredients including all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda with a whisk for about half a minute, then set aside.
2. Make the crumble topping by combining lightly toasted chopped walnuts, brown sugar, white sugar, a pinch of salt, cinnamon, and melted butter. Mix until every piece is coated.
3. Cream room temperature butter and sugar together until nice, soft, and relatively smooth.
4. Whip in two eggs one at a time, making sure the first is incorporated well before adding the second.
5. Add real vanilla and plain yogurt, then combine with a whisk.
6. Carefully stir in the dry ingredients using a whisk, starting slowly, then switch to a spatula to finish without overmixing.
7. Core and dice the apples into small cubes between 1/8 and 1/4 of an inch, leaving the skins on, and fold them into the batter.
8. Transfer half of the batter into a buttered baking dish, top with half of the crumble mixture, add the remaining batter in dollops and spread, top with the rest of the crumble, and press gently.
9. Bake in the center of a 350 degree oven for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
