200g Granulated sugar, 113g Butter, 5ml Vanilla extract, 2large Eggs, 30g Cocoa powder, 60g All-purpose flour, 2g Salt, 2g Baking powder, 100g Dark chocolate, 150g Brown sugar, 120g All-purpose flour, 2g Salt, 2g Baking powder, 150g Chocolate chips/chunks
Instructions
1. To make the brownie layer, combine granulated sugar and butter in a saucepan. Heat gently until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves. Whisk vigorously to create a crackly crust.
2. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Stir in vanilla. Transfer to a bowl. Whisk in eggs one at a time until well combined.
3. Add cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder to the egg mixture. Whisk until just combined. Set aside.
4. To make the cookie layer, melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
5. Whisk in eggs one at a time until well combined. Stir in vanilla extract.
6. Add all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chunks.
7. Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, securing it with metal binder clips. Alternate dollops of cookie dough and brownie batter into the prepared pan.
8. Sprinkle with additional chocolate chunks. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
9. Let cool completely before cutting into squares. Enjoy with a glass of milk!
