Ingredients: butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract · 30 min cook time · 945kcal · ₩14,500
Ingredients
1stick butter, 0.5cup brown sugar, 0.5cup granulated sugar, 1large egg, 1tablespoon vanilla extract, 1.5cups all-purpose flour, 0.75teaspoon salt, 0.75teaspoon baking soda, 1bar chocolate bar, 0.5cup walnuts
Instructions
1. Add one stick of room temperature butter to a bowl.
2. Add half a cup of brown sugar and half a cup of granulated sugar to the bowl.
3. Mix the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. You can use an electric mixer or mix by hand if the butter is soft.
4. Add one large egg to the mixture and mix until combined. Ideally, the egg should be at room temperature to prevent the butter from solidifying.
5. Add one tablespoon of vanilla extract to the mixture and mix.
6. Add one and a half cups (192 grams) of all-purpose flour to the bowl.
7. Add three-quarters of a teaspoon of salt and three-quarters of a teaspoon of baking soda to the mixture.
8. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
9. Chop the chocolate bar into chip-like pieces. A serrated knife works well for this.
10. Add the chopped chocolate and walnuts to the cookie dough. You can leave the walnuts whole or chop them if desired.
11. Mix the chocolate and walnuts into the dough.
12. Transfer the cookie dough into a 12-inch cast iron skillet or an oven-safe skillet. Spread the dough evenly across the bottom of the skillet.
13. Bake the skillet cookie in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 20 to 22 minutes, or until it has a slight jiggle in the center for a gooey texture.
14. Remove the cookie from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with scoops of ice cream.
