불고기 (Bulgogi)

800g thinly sliced sirloin, 1ea large yellow onion, 2stalks green onion, 0.5ea medium carrot, 1Tbsp sesame seeds, 1Tbsp cooking oil, 1ea medium apple, 0.5ea large yellow onion, 2Tbsp rice wine (mirin), 6Tbsp soy sauce, 3Tbsp brown sugar, 1Tbsp minced garlic, 1tsp minced ginger, 0.125tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
1. Remove blood from the thinly sliced sirloin using paper towels.
2. Prepare the marinade sauce: cut 1 medium apple and 1/2 large yellow onion into pieces. Add them to a blender with 2 Tbsp rice wine (mirin) and 6 Tbsp soy sauce. Blend until smooth.
3. Pour the blended mixture into a bowl. Add 3 Tbsp brown sugar, 1 Tbsp minced garlic, 1 tsp minced ginger, and 1/8 tsp ground black pepper. Mix well.
4. Add the thinly sliced sirloin to the marinade sauce. Mix thoroughly with your hands, ensuring all meat is coated.
5. Cover the marinated meat and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
6. Slice the remaining 1 large yellow onion, 1/2 medium carrot, and 2 stalks green onion.
7. Heat 1 Tbsp cooking oil in a pan over high heat. Add the marinated beef, sliced carrots, sliced green onions, and sliced onions.
8. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and the vegetables are tender. Gradually reduce the heat as the meat and vegetables cook.
9. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp sesame seeds over the cooked bulgogi and mix.
10. Serve hot with lettuce and perilla leaves for wraps, and kimchi or gochujang on the side.
